• UNIT 5:  

elderly: people that are more of 65 years old.
middle-aged: being of the age intermediate between youth and old age, roughly between 45 and 65.
toddler: baby who starts walking.
retired: having withdrawn from a job or career.
have a lie in: sleep with friends.
sunbathe: to expose one's body deliberately to the direct rays of the sun or a sunlamp.

• UNIT 7:

bite: to cut or tear with the teeth.
chase: to follow rapidly or intently in order to overtake.
sting: to prick or wound (a person or animal) with a sharp-pointed part of the body that often contains poison or venom.
stand still: to be in an upright position on the feet.
afraid: feeling regret or unhappiness.
embarrassed: to cause confusion and shame to; make uncomfortably self-conscious
mean: to have as its meaning or its sense.
rude: Impolite.
shy: timid.
